Facebook's translation tool to help overcome language barrier
California, July 4 (IBNS): Social networking giant, Facebook, is set to help users overcome language barriers by allowing them to view posts in their preferred language.
The Menlo Park, California based company is rolling in a new translation tool, which will enable users to read multilingual posts effectively.
The company said in a post, "Given that 50% of our community does not speak English and most people don’t speak each other’s languages, it’s incredibly important that we take on the challenge of removing language as a barrier to connecting on Facebook."
"We’re excited to see this tool help even more people connect with their friends who speak different languages. This will move us closer to our vision of removing language barriers across Facebook," the company added.
In July, Facebook also announced its disengagement with Paper, a news reading app.
