Benefits of Linking HDFC Rupay Credit Cards to UPI Apps
Wider options to shop: If you link your credit card to UPI, you have wider accessibility to shop and make purchases. When you solely use your credit card for making payments, you are restricted to using the POS. Note that, in comparison to QR codes, finding a POS machine is challenging, especially with small traders and merchants. Thus, linking credit cards to UPI offers you a chance to shop and make purchases, at both small and big locations.
- Hassle-free one-time process: Unlike a lot of payment options and methods, linking your credits to UPI is a simple and hassle-free process. You can do it similar to how you link your debit card, with a one-time process. Thus, for making credit card payments via UPI, you don't need to authenticate your credit card again and again. Additionally, you do not require lengthy passwords or login details.
-
Contactless payments: Using a credit card at a POS is a contact-based payment. However, linking credit cards to UPI eliminates ‘tap’, ‘touch’, and the use of ‘punch’ buttons. Thus, by linking your card with UPI you can make payments with your credit card, even without having the physical card with you.
- Rewarding payments: While a regular UPI payment linked to your bank account might offer you no rewards, a credit card-linked UPI payment could offer your rewards, cashback, and other credit card-related benefits. Thus, using UPI payments frequently can help you earn more rewards every time you make a transaction. Some of the top HDFC Rupay Credit cards to avail rewards on UPI-linked payments are HDFC MoneyBack+ Credit Card, IRCTC HDFC Bank Credit Card, and HDFC Bank UPI RuPay Credit Card, among others.
