India Rupee rises by 20 paise against USD

Mumbai, Jun 24 (UNI) The Rupee on Monday appreciated by 20 paise to 69.35 against the US Dollar, on renewed selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at Forex Market informed.

However, negative close in local domestic market, foreign fund outflows and rising crude oil prices capped rupee to rose further, the dealers said.

The rupee opened weak at 69.58 at the interbank forex market, down by 3 paise against Friday's 69.55.

High fluctuation was witnessed as it registered day high and low at 69.61 and 69.32 respectively.

On Friday, the rupee had settled at 69 55 against the US dollar, down by 11 paise.
