Indian benchmark indices close positive on Wednesday
Mumbai, Jan 17 (IBNS): The Indian market ended on a positive note on Wednesday with BSE Sensex closing above 35,000 levels and the news that the Union government has reduced the requirement of additional borrowing for FY18, according to media reports.
On Wednesday, BSE Sensex was up 310.77 points at 35,081.82 and NSE Nifty was up 88 points at 10,788.50.
Top gainers included Axis Bank, SBI, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, Infosys and Aurobindo Pharma while Zee Entertainment, Wipro, HDFC Bank, HUL, Hero Motocorp, ONGC and Kotak Mahindra were some of the key stocks that declined.
