Indian benchmark indices end lower on Tuesday

Mumbai, Mar 1 (IBNS): Indian benchmark indices ended lower on Thursday with investors rushing to sell in the last hour of trading, according to media reports.

BSE Sensex was down 137 points down at 34046.94 while NSE Nifty was down 34.50 points at 10458.40.

Key gainers on Thursday included BPCL, Aurobindo Pharma, Coal India, IndusInd Bank, BHEL, HUL, M&M and Bajaj Finance while ICICI Bank, SBI, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, UPL,Infisys, Vedanta, and Lupin were among the key losers.

The exchanges will remain closed on Friday for Holi.
