Indian benchmark indices post marginal gains on Wednesday

The benchmark indices were largely able to stem its two session losing streak owing to a recovery in bank stocks, media reported.

Key gainers on Wednesday included State Bank of India, Axis Bank,ICICI Bank, Adani Ports, Hero Motocorp and NTPC while some of the top stocks that ended lower were Coal India, TCS, ONGC,HUL and M&M.
