Indian government appoints Krishnamurthy Subramanian as new economic advisor
New Delhi, Dec 7 (IBNS): The Indian government on Friday confirmed the appointment of Krishnamurthy Subramanian as the new chief economic advisor of the country.
He has been appointed to the post for a period of three years.
He is a professor of the Indian School of Business in Hyderabad.
With his appointment, he filled the role vacated by Arvind Subramanian.
"Dr.Krishnamurthy Subramanian, Associate Prof. & ED (CAF), ISB ,Hyderabad has been appointed to the post of the Chief Economic Adviser (CEA) for a period of 3 years w.e.f. the date of his assumption of charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier," Ministry of Finance tweeted.
