Indian market closes on a subdued note on Monday

Mumbai, Jun 11 (IBNS): The Indian market ended Monday on a quiet note with BSE Sensex up 39.80 points at 35,483 and NSE Nifty up 19.30 points at 10,787.

Some of the key stocks that reported gains were Bharti Airtel, Sun Pharma, Dr Reddy's Labs, Maruti Suzuki, IndusInd Bank, Bajaj Finance, UltraTech Cement, Grasim and Zee Entertainment while Tata Steel, UPL, HCL Tech, Power Grid Corp, Hero Motocorp, Yes Bank and Coal India were some of the key stocks that reported loss.

According to news reports, US market regulator Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may also likely probe into the alleged lapses of ICICI bank and their former chief Chanda Kochhar, who are already facing multi-agency probe in India.
