Indian Market: Sensex closes life time high at 54,369.77 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday ended at a new peak at 54,369.77, surging 546.41 on the strength of Bamkex, Finance and Energy stocks.

The Nifty rose by 128.05 pts at 16,258.80.

Even, expansion in services PMI in July on a monthly basis, reflecting strengthening of economic activity, bolstered sentiment on the bourses.

The sensex registered days high and low at 54,465.91 and 54,034.31 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 16,290.20 and 16,176.15 pts respectively.
