Indian Market: Sensex crashes 746.22 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Friday tumbled down by 746.22 pts to settle at 48,878.54 on heavy selling in Bankex, Realty, Metal and Industrials stocks.

The Nifty too fell by 218.45 pts to 14,371.90.

The Sensex registered days high and low at 49,676.88 and 48,832.08 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 14,619.90 and 14,357.75 pts respectively.
