Indian Market: Sensex down by 194.17 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday slipped by 194.17 points to settle at 37,934.73 in high volatile trade on brisk selling in Bankex, Finance, Health Care, Realty and Utilities stock.

The nifty of national stock exchange too eased by 62.35 pts to 11,131.80.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 11,225.00 and 11,087.85 pts respectively.

The day opened in green at 38,275.34, up by 147 pts and remained days high.

Later, it nosedived nearly 359 pts to 37,769.44 days low, before closing at 37,934.73, sliding by 194.17 pts from its previous close.

The sectoral indices like Bankex, Finance, Health Care, Realty and Utilities stocks dragged the market for another session today.

In scrips, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, IndusInd Bank and Sun Pharma declined while buying in Asian Paints, HCL Technologies, Infosys, TCS and Ultracemco capped from further losses, broker informed.

The Mid Cap eased by 1 pc and Small Cap by 0.98 pc.

In 30 scrips, 13 advanced while 17 declined.
