Indian Market: Sensex drops 866.65 pts
Mumbai: The BSE Sensex on Friday slumped 866.65 points, below 55K level to close at 54,835.58 on heavy selling in Realty, Metal, Materials, IT and Consumer Durable stocks amid weak global peers.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange (NSE) too slipped 271.40 points at 16,411.25.
The Sensex registered days high and low at 55,070.12 and 54,586.71 points respectively.
The Nifty recorded days high and low at 16,484.20 and 16,340.90 respectively.
