Indian market: Sensex ends at life time high at 58,296.91 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The equity market remained on top for the third straight session on Monday, as the Sensex ended recorded high 58,296.81, up by 166.96 pts on the strength of Realty, Consumer Durable, IT and Technology stocks amid strong global cues.

The Nifty too moved up by 54.20 pts at 17,377.80.

The day opened high at 58,411.62, surging 282 pts. During the day it spurted 386 pts to 58,515.85, days high before closing at 58,296.91 up 166.96 pts from its previous close.

The sensex registered days high and low at 58,515.85 and 58,200.29 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 17,429.55 and 17,345.55 pts respectively.

The sectoral indices like Realty, Consumer Durable, IT companies Technology stocks kept the rally firm today.

In scrips, HCL Technology, Infosys, Reliance Industries, Tech Mahindra and Bajaj Auto rallied.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.18 pc and Small Cap by 0.59 pc.

In 30 scrips, 12 advanced while 18 declined.

The Asian Market was also up as Australia's Australia ASX by 0.51 pc, Shanghai (China) by 1.14 pc and Taiwan by 0.74 pc.
