Indian Market: Sensex ends strong at 39,574.57 pts

Mumbai/UNI: Maintaining winning streak intact for the fourth consecutive session on Tuesday, the BSE Sensex zoomed up by 600.87 pts at 39,574.57 following gains in Finance, Realty, Bankex and Auto stocks amid positive global peers.

The nifty of national stock exchange too rose by 159.05 pts at 11,662.40.

The day opened in green as the Sensex went up by 363 pts. During the day it rallied by 650 pts to 39,623.76, days high, before closing at 39,574.57, advancing by 600.87 pts from its previous close.

The Sensex registered days high and low at 39,623.76 and 39,191.10 pts respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 11,680.30 and 11,564.30 pts respectively.

The sectoral indices that kept the rally intact were Finance, Realty, Bankex and Auto stocks.

In scrips, HDFC was a star gainer, up by 8.35 pc to Rs 1934.45 followed by IndusInd Bank, M& M, Asian Paints and Bajaj Finance.

While the scrips that fell were Tata Steel, Nestle India, L& T, Sun Pharma and NTPC.

The Mid Cap increased by 0.59 pc and Small Cap by 0.55 pc. In 30 scrips, 24 advanced while 6 declined.
