Indian market: Sensex falls 70.99 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Monday slipped by 70.99 points to settle at 40,938.72, snapping a gaining streak of last three sessions, on profit booking by local operators at higher level.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) too dropped by 26 points to 12,060.70.

The Sensex registered day's high and low at 41,185.03 and 40,917.93 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded day's high and low at 12,134.65 and 12,046.30 points respectively.
