Indian Market: Sensex falls by over 400 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday slid by 446 pts at 49,583.02 as selling was seen in Energy, Finance, Utilities and Auto stocks.

The Nifty too declined rose by 95.65 pts to 14,771.70.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 50,028.67 and 49,545.93 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 14,849.85 and 14,736.60 respectively.

The Mid Cap eased by 0.28 PC and Small Cap by 0.17 pc.

In 30 scrips 8 advanced while 23 declined.

The losers were Bajaj Finance by 3.74 pc to Rs 5073, IndusInd Bank by 3.44 pc to Rs 959.15, Axis Bank by 2.75 pc to Rs 693.95 and Bajaj Finserv by 2.45 pc to Rs 9550.80.

The gainers were Infosys by 2.55 pc to Rs 1420.60, HCL Technologies by 1.93 pc to Rs 1022, Ultracemco by 1.15 pc to Rs 6977.85 and TCS by 0.95 pc to Rs 3196.
