Indian market: Sensex registers a 523.68 pt rise

Mumbai/UNI:  The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange(BSE) on Friday rallied by 523.68 pts to end at 34,731.73 at the close of the day.

The rise is primarily attributed to gains seen in Energy, Oil and Gas, Telecom and Real estate stocks amid a weak trend across Asian Markets.

The NIFTY 50 of the National Stock Exchange(NSE) also rose by 152.75 pts to close 10,244.40 pts.

The Sensex registered the day's high and low at 34,848.37 pts and 34,136.39 pts respectively.

The NIFTY 50 registered the day's high and low at 10,272.40 pts and 10,072.65 pts respectively.
