Indian Market: Sensex up over 300 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex continued to surge for the third session on Wednesday, as it advanced by 379 pts to open at 51,404.68 as buying was seen across the board.

The Nifty too rose by 104 pts to 15,202.15.

The Sensex registered intra days high and low at 51,430.43 and 51,292.93 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intra days high and low at 15,218.45 and 15,164.25 respectively.

In 30 scrips 26 advanced, 3 declined while one was unchanged.

The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 1.35 pc to Rs 5488, M& M by 1.26 pc to Rs 812.85, Sun Pharma by 1.18 pc to Rs 618.85, Dr Reddy by 1.14 pc to Rs 4498.20 and Bajaj Finserv by 0.92 pc to Rs 10,065.

The losers were ONGC by 1.80 pc to 114.75, Bharti Airtel by 0.42 pc to Rs 519.45, Kotak Bank by 0.12 pc to Rs 1977.10 and Hind Unilever by 0.08 pc to Rs 2196.45.
