Indian markets close higher on Tuesday
Mumbai, Dec 19 (IBNS): The Indian market closed higher on Tuesday largely due to a rally in auto stocks, according to media reports.
BSE Sensex was up 235.06 points at 33836.74 and NSE Nifty was up 74.40 points at 10463.20.
Top gainers included Maruti Suzuki, Hero Motocorp, UPL, Idea Cellular, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors (D) and Tata Motors while HCL Tech, Infosys, Wipro, HDFC, Kotak Mahindra and IndusInd Bank declined.
