Indian Rupee advances by 10 paise against USD

Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Tuesday rallied by ten paise to close at 74.00 against the greenback on brisk buying of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.

In opening trade, the local unit moved up by 18 paise to 73.92 against the Dollar and closed at 74.00 gaining by 10 paise as compared to its previous close.

The Rupee shot up owing to weak Dollar against other world currencies alongwith strong stock market, dealers added.

The rupee registered intra days high and low at 74.09 and 73.88 respectively, he added.
