Indian Rupee down 10 paise against USD

Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee remained weak on Wednesday as it tumbled down 10 paise to close negative at 74.32 against the USD on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.

The local unit fell five paise to 74.27 in opening trade, till the end of the session, it dropped ten paise to settle at 74.32 as compared to its previous close.

The local unit registered the day's high and low at 74.35 and 74.25 respectively.

The Rupee remained weak owing to a strong dollar against other world currencies amid negative equity market, the dealers added.
