Indian Rupee down 14 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Wednesday slipped by 14 paise to close negative at 73.80 against the US Dollar on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit that gained by 22 paise to 73.44 against the dollar in early trade, declined and settled at 73.80 tumbling down by 14 paise as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee was seen weak because of firm Dollar against other world currencies amid weak stock market, dealers added.
The rupee registered intra days high and low at 73.49 and 73.76 respectively, he added.
