Indian Rupee ends at 71.22 against USD; 1-week-high
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Wednesday, advanced by 16 paise to 71.22, a one-week-high on selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit rose by two paise to 71.36 in opening trade.
Till the end of the session it rallied by 16 paise to end positive at 71.22, as compared to its last close.
A minor fluctuation was seen in early trade on Wednesday, as local unit registered intra day high and low at 71.38 and 71.28 respectively.
The Rupee was seen robust owing to weak dollar against other world currencies, they added.
