Indian Rupee falls 10 paise against USD

Mumbai: The Indian Rupee on Tuesday drifted lower by 10 paise to close at 82.85 against the USD on brisk demand for US Dollar by bankers and importers amid sliding equity market, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.

The local unit that eased 6 paise at 82.72 in early trade lost further and finished at 82.85, tumbling down 10 paise as compared to the previous close

The Rupee recorded intra days high and low at 82.83 and 82.89respectively, dealer added.
