Mumbai/IBNS: Automobile major Land Rover announced on Thursday announced that it has taken its customers and fans to Rajasthan for the Land Rover Thar experience, under the aegis of ‘Land Rover Journeys’ in India.

These journeys which started in February 2019 with the Brahmaputra Experience (Dibrugarh to Guwahati), Jungle Experience (Nagpur to Kanha to Nagpur) and Himalayan Experience (Shimla to Leh) have been extremely popular with customers since they not only raise the thrill of adventure, but they also get to experience the true capabilities of what a Land Rover can do.

The Land Rover Thar Experience commenced from Jaipur on December 14 and ended on December 18 in Udaipur.

The four night/five day journey took customers and Land Rovers from the bustling streets of Johri Bazaar and Hawa Mahal to the Sambhar Salt Lake, India’s largest inland salt lake on day two.

They visited the Tal Chappar sanctuary, home of the Indian Gazelle and then to Bikaner where they stayed at the 19th century Lallgarh Palace.

The following day, they took the border road along the Indira Gandhi canal with sand dunes on one side and a flowing water canal on the other.

A beautiful stay at Suryagarh in the Sam Dunes, off Jaisalmer awaited them that evening. Day four lead them out of Sam Dunes and towards Khimsar, past Pokhran to the bird sanctuary at Khichan.

A tea break at Khimsar Dunes Village and the night’s stay at Khimsar Fort allowed participants to soak in the ancient ruins of the fort and the charm of the Thar Desert. The final stop in this 1 300 km + journey was Udaipur, where customers spent their last night on this ultimate Desert Safari at Laxmi Vilas Palace.

For the next ‘Land Rover Journey’, the Land Rover Brahmaputra Experience from February 15 to 21, customers and fans of Land Rover will travel from Dibrugarh to Guwahati on a five night/six day journey, via the lush green tea estates at Chabua, Tinsukia, Digboi and Margherita, through the enchanting Namdapha National Park in Arunachal Pradesh, Majuli, the world’s largest river island and the beautiful Kaziranga National Park, to name but a few.

Jaguar Land Rover is also offering the Ice Drive+ Experience in January and February in Arjeplog, Sweden. It’s a four day Arctic Adventure that allows participants to get familiar with the latest Jaguar and Land Rover Vehicles over specially built ice tracks, guided by expert instructors who will take their experience to a much higher level.

Rohit Suri, President & Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India said: “At Jaguar Land Rover, we believe that, through our experiential events, our customers get to witness, the true performance and capability of our vehicles. The just concluded Land Rover Thar Experience in India and the Ice Drive+ Experience being organized in Sweden serve this objective very well and our customers are sure to have a fabulous time as they go through these journeys.”
