Jet Airways appoints Rahul Taneja as Chief People Officer

Mumbai, Feb 23 (IBNS): Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, today announced the appointment of Rahul Taneja as Chief People Officer.

Taneja, 47, has over 25 years of experience in diverse industry sectors and has worked in HR leadership positions across leading Indian and international companies.

As Chief People Officer of Jet Airways, Taneja will be responsible for shaping the operations and performance of the Group. He will join the Executive Management Committee that has been tasked by the Board of Directors of Jet Airways to drive the company’s growth and future strategy.

Commenting on the appointment, Naresh Goyal, Chairman, Jet Airways, said: “I am delighted that Rahul Taneja has joined Jet Airways as Chief People Officer and a key member of our executive management committee. He brings with him a global HR management perspective, and I am sure Jet Airways will benefit substantially from his expertise and experience locally and internationally. I look forward to Rahul working with our entire leadership team as we continue to execute our growth strategy”.

Taneja said: “I am very pleased to take up this key role at Jet Airways, an airline that has emerged in a dynamic aviation industry as a great Indian brand with significant presence in domestic and international markets. As the company moves to its next phase of evolution, we will support this through effectively channelling our human capital to further enhance the guest experience and meet the organisation’s growth objectives.”

Taneja will be based at Jet Airways’ corporate headquarters in Mumbai and report to the CEO, the company said in a statement.
