Kolkata hosts the 26th edition of Indian Fashion Expo 2019

Kolkata, July 6 (IBNS):  Eastern India Garment Manufactures & Exporters Federation (EIGMEF) recently organised a three-day business to business (B2B) fair in Kolkata.

Called the Indian Fashion Expo 2019, this 26th edition of the B2B fair was attended by over 300 participants, consisting of manufacturers, traders and retailers from the garment industry from various parts of India.

It was inaugurated by Manoj Khemka, CMD, Bazar  Kolkata.

According to Khemka, the industry is seeing considerable growth.

“From last few years, value retail chain is growing tremendously and we are pleased to say that we are one of the leaders in this sector from this part of the country," said Khemka.

Aloke More, President of EIGMEF said, “We generally don’t do summer fairs, but this year we are doing it as Tropical 2020. We are hoping that our industry will grow and we will expand further.”

Raj Duggar, Vice President  of EIGMEF said, “Garment industry in West Bengal and Kolkata is going very strongly and will further grow in coming  years and EIGMEIF will ensure that it keep on growing in a steady pace. From last 5-6 years we are trying to change and improve the business market.”

Jay Verma, Secretary of EIGMEF said, "As per the requirements of dealers, we are doing a special summer fair this summer and we wish to work together and take it to another level.”
