Leadership shake-up! Britannia shares under spotlight after CEO’s surprise resignation

Mumbai/IBNS: Britannia Industries shares are on the focus point after the company said its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer resigned, media reports said.

The FMCG firm said Varun Berry has submitted his resignation as the MD and CEO.

The share prices fell over 200 points on BSE and close to 300 points on NSE.

The shares ended at 6,132.15 in the last session.

The company has accepted Berry's resignation and waived off his obligation to serve the notice period.

The board has appointed Rakshit Hargave as the MD and CEO from December 15, 2025.
