Hannover, Apr 16 (IBNS): Rajasthan Industries Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar, met Olaf Lies, State Minister for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport of the German state, Lower Saxony, during a seminar organized in Hannover Messe on Wednesday.

Lower Saxony, which is famously called the “Volkswagen state” for housing Germany’s leading auto major, has gained a formidable reputation for being home to several world-renowned companies in sectors such as automotive, renewable energy, transportation and hi-tech engineering.

Khimsar, who is leading a high-level delegation comprising senior government officials, including the Industries Commissioner, Mr. Abhay Kumar, and representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), to participate in Hannover Messe, briefed Mr. Lies on the initiatives taken recently by the Rajasthan Government to make the state much more investor-friendly.

During the seminar,   Lies remarked that Lower Saxony had a strong business relationship with India and some companies from his state were already present in Rajasthan. He said, “We are looking to expand this cooperation. We are also keen to cooperate in the area of sports and would like to establish a football academy.”
