Meghalaya government to reduce petrol-diesel price by Rs 2 per litre

Guwahati: In view of recent petrol and diesel price hike the Meghalaya government on Sunday has decided to reduce the petrol and diesel price in the state by Rs 2 per litre and it will be effect from midnight of Feb 8.

The Meghalaya government has decided to offer a rebate of Rs 2 per litre from the tax component of the retail sale price of petrol and diesel effective from midnight of February 8 in order to maintain the price differential with neighbouring Assam and to offer relief to consumers of the state.

Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong said that, the Meghalaya government has decided that the price of petrol and diesel will be reduced by Rs 2 per litre of both petrol and diesel.
