Mukesh Ambani announces launch of Jio 4G Volte Featue Phone

Mumbai, Jul 21 (IBNS) : Relaince Jio on Friday announced the launch of its 4G feature phone calling it "India ka smartphone" to capture the feature phone handset market.

The announcement was made by The Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambbani at the company's 40th Annual General Meeting.

The phone has been named Jio 4G Vote Feature Phone.

"Today Jio is going to reinvent the conventional feature phone,"  Ambani said, adding "Let me introduce India ka smartphone."

It is the "most intelligent affordable phone in the whole world," the company said.

The phone has 2.4 inch display. and supports  4G VoLTE for calls and data.

Ambani said that voice calling will always be free for Jio customers.

He said that Jio services will be integrated with all e-commerce players.

The Jio feature phone users can avail the Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer at just Rs 153 per month. Under this they will get free voice and SMS as well as unlimited data.
