Bangalore, Mar 22 (IBNS): Ola Money, the popular digital payment solution from Ola, India’s leading mobile app for transportation, today announced that it has partnered with Mumbai Metro, which will enable commuters to recharge their prepaid metrocards by using the Ola Money app.

Ola Money is also the exclusive digital payment partner for RSRTC- the Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation, where users booking tickets online on http://rsrtc.rajasthan.gov.in/ or offline during their bus ride, can pay using Ola Money.

The Ola Money app can also be used for prepaid mobile phone recharge across all network operators in India and for sending money to friends and family within minutes.

Additionally, Ola Money has recently partnered with Cafe Coffee Day, Cleartrip and Stayglad over and above existing partners like OYO Rooms, Healthkart, Doormint and hundreds of  merchants, both online and offline to enable payments for customers using Ola Money.

These partnerships will allow Ola users, who already maintain a significant balance in their Ola Money accounts, to pay with one touch at a wide range of merchants. With millions of customers on its platform, Ola Money is already one of the top mobile wallets in the country by average size of wallet.

Ola has also acquired Chennai based Qarth Technologies Pvt. Ltd., an IIT Madras incubated startup that offers a multi bank IMPS mobile solution.

Pallav Singh, SVP & Head - Ola Money said, “We are proud to partner with Mumbai Metro to offer a unique new way of recharging metro-cards, coming closely on the heels of our partnership with one of the first state transportation agencies, RSRTC. We are thrilled about the possibilities that emerge for our customers who use Ola Money across a wide range of merchants online and offline. With the acquisition of Qarth, we are also making significant technology investments to build forward looking digital payment solutions for the ecosystem.”
