NASSCOM hosts Product Conclave 2014 in Kolkata

Kolkata, July 18 (IBNS): The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) organized the East edition of the NASSCOM Product Conclave (NPC) in Kolkata for a period of two days ending Friday.
The conclave served as a platform for Indian start-ups and emerging companies to access knowledge and support available in the ecosystem. 
 
The conclave witnessed participation of leaders from global and Indian product industry, serial entrepreneurs, CIOs, investors, customers, VCs, angel investors, incubators, government representatives and industry thought leaders, discussing and sharing actionable insights for the product arena.
 
The focus of NPC Kolkata was to provide a platform for Indian start-ups to create access to the ecosystem for building their markets, create performing teams and secure funding. 
 
The conclave was the collaborative effort of NASSCOM, West Bengal government's department of IT and Electronics and its nodal agency WEBEL (West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited ); and a group of CEO’s, entrepreneurs and investors from the West Bengal IT Sector.
 
On the sidelines of the conclave, there were a series of workshops conducted by experts from Amazon, Microsoft, Intel, Google+ and panel discussions with the leaders like Deepak Ghaisas, Chairman of Gencoval Strategic Services Pvt Ltd., Hemant Joshi, Co-founder, Sapience, Kunal Shah, Founder & CEO, FreeCharge, Ravi Gururaj, Chairman, NASSCOM Product Council and many others from IT product ecosystem. 
 
The conclave also organized a 2 day workshop on ‘Learn Inspire and Connect’ for product companies that focused on early stage funding, business development, product and team management. 
 
The industry thought leaders also shared guidance on how to take advantage of business opportunities and scale up with wider portfolio wherever necessary.
 
The IT companies from the Eastern region also showcased their product and services at the event where the best ones qualified for the national event. 
 
Parallel to this conclave, NASSCOM also organized a unique NPC e-Summit on Friday at EZCC in Kolkata. This event allowed the students to actively engage themselves with the pioneers from the product ecosystem and thought leaders of the industry.
