Nitin Seth appointed as Flipkart Chief People Officer

New Delhi, Feb 17 (IBNS) Nitin Seth was on Wedneday named the Chief People Officer of online marketplace Flipkart.

Nitin, who brings with him over two decades of experience in entrepreneurship, strategy, consulting, operations management and business process redesign, will lead the human resource function at Flipkart, India’s largest online marketplace.

He will partner with the leadership team to build an organization for the future that is versatile and adaptable. Further, he will foster a distinctive culture to fuel business performance, Flipkart said in a statement.

Nitin Seth will report to Binny Bansal, CEO & Co-founder of Flipkart.

“It is our goal to make Flipkart the best place to work as we work towards creating a world-class organization known for its empowered teams and great tech talent,” said Binny Bansal, CEO of Flipkart, commenting on the new appointment.

“Nitin brings with him a unique mix of cross-sectoral experience, deep understanding of business, entrepreneurial DNA, and a long track record of building and nurturing winning teams. I am confident that Nitin will play a key role in enabling the team at Flipkart to fulfill our long-term mission of transforming commerce in India through technology," Bansal said.
