PM Modi interacts with Walmart CEO Doug McMillon
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said he had an insightful meeting with Walmart CEO Doug McMillon, and he is happy to see India emerge as an attractive destination for investment.
Taking to Twitter, PM Modi wrote: “The meeting with Mr. Doug McMillon, CEO of @Walmart, was a fruitful one. We had insightful discussions on different subjects. Happy to see India emerge as an attractive destination for investment.”
The meeting was held on Saturday.
The Walmart CEO thanked the Prime Minister for the meeting and said the company is working toward exporting $10 billion a year from India by 2027 and is looking to make India a global export leader in toys, seafood and other goods.

McMillon is visiting India along with other top Walmart executives, including Judith McKenna, President and CEO of Walmart International.
Earlier, the Walmart top executives interacted with a cross-section of suppliers, merchants, grantees, artisans and MSMEs across key India programs and initiatives.
