Rupee falls 10 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Monday slipped by ten paise to close negative at 73.89 against the US Dollar on rising demand for US Dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex Market said.
A major fluctuation was seen during the day, as the local unit moved up by eight paise to 73.71 in opening trade, later it erased earlier gains and settled at 73.89, declining by ten paise as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee was seen weak owing to firm Dollar against other world currencies amid strong stock market, dealers added.
The rupee registered intra days high and low at 73.93 and 73.68respectively, he added.
