Mumbai, Aug 29 (UNI) The Rupee on Thursday lost further by 18 paise to 71.95 against the US Dollar in early trade amid weak domestic equity market and persistent foreign fund outflows, the dealers at the Forex Market said.

Pessimism over US-China trade talks also put pressure on the domestic unit, the dealers informed.

The local unit registered intra-day high and low at 71.97 and 71.90 respectively.

Rupee declined 29 paise to close at 71.77 against the US Dollar on Wednesday as fears of an impending global recession prompted investors to stick to safe-haven assets like the Japanese yen.
