Rupee recovers by 11 paise against USD

Mumbai, Feb 22 (UNI) The Rupee on Friday recovered by eleven paise to 71.14 against the US Dollar on fresh selling of US Dollars by bankers and exporters, dealers at Forex Market said.

Sliding by 16 paise on Thursday, the local unit opened on a flat note at 71.24, up by one paisa only. Till the end of the day it gained by 11 paise to close positive at 71.14, from its previous close.

High oscillation was seen during the day as the Indian currency registered day high and low at 71.25 and 71.12 respectively.

The local unit bounced back on weak dollar against other world currencies however, negative equity market capped from further gain, they added.
