Sensex closes on record high at 55,582.58 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Monday ended on life time high at 55,582.58 on the strength of metals, materials, oil & gas and energy stocks.

The Nifty rose by 33.45 points at 16,563.05.

The Sensex registered the days high and low at 55,680.75 and 55,281.92 536.02 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded the days high and low at 16,589.50 and 16,480.75 points respectively.
