Sensex down by 118 points
Mumbai, May 7 (IBNS): The Sensex was down by 118 points as Indian marked closed on Thursday.
Down by 118.256 points, the BSE Sensex stood at 26599.11 points.
The Nifty on the other hand dropped by 39.70 points to stand at 8057.30.
The Indian rupee too breached Rs 64 to a dollar-level mark as it traded at Rs 64.19 at around 2.16 pm on Thursday.
The Indian rupee touched its lowest point against the dollar in the past 20 years.
