Sensex down over 100 pts, Nifty slips by 26.30 points

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Tuesday fell 121.89 points at 61,502.26 in opening trade as selling pressure was seen in FMCG, Financial, Industrials and Health Care stocks.

The Nifty too slipped 26.30 points at 18,302.85.

The Sensex registered intra day high and low at 61,783 and 61,439.56 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded intra day high and low at 18,378.15 and 18,282.70 points respectively.

The Mid Cap rose by 0.02 percent and Small Cap by 0.06 percent.

In 30 scrips, 11 advanced, 18 declined while one remained unchanged.

The losers were ITC by 1.51 percent to Rs 342, Tech Mahindra by 1.18 percent to Rs 1,053.25, TCS by 0.90 percent to Rs 3,304 and Sun Pharma by 0.78 percent to Rs 1,008.45.

The gainers were Ultracemco by 1.31 percent to Rs 6,944.85, ICICI Bank by 1.25 percent to Rs 906.10, Dr Reddy's Lab by 1.07 percent to Rs 4,412.50 and SBI by 0.91 percent to Rs 597.95.
