Sensex slips 195.16 pts in special session

The BSE Sensex on Tuesday slipped 195.16 pts to settle at 73677.13 on profit booking by local operators.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) eased 49.30 pts at 22,356.30.

The Sensex opened at 73767.42, declining 105 pts. During the day it was tumbled down 460 pts at 73412.25' days low before closing at 73677.13, sliding 195.16 pts from it previous close.

The NSE registered days high and low at 22,416.90 and 22,269.15 pts respectively.

The stocks include IT, FMCG, Technology and Industrials stocks dragged the market.

In 30 scrips, 11 advanced, while 19 declined.

The losers were Bajaj Finserv by 4.28 pc to Rs 1550.05, Bajaj Finance by 4.17 pc to Rs 6325.25, Infosys by 1.93 pc to Rs 1606.20 and Nestle India Ltd by 1.88 pc to Rs 2539.30.

The gainers were Tata Motors by 3.52 pc to Rs 1021.95, Bharti Airtel by 3.06 pc to Rs 1168.70, SBI by 1.52 pc to Rs 783.90 and Sun Pharma by 1.41 pc to 1574.15.
