Shah Rukh Khan joins Vi as brand face; new identity signals telecom giant’s big transformation
Mumbai/IBNS: Telecom giant Vodafone Idea has unveiled a refreshed brand identity and roped in Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the face of its upcoming campaign ‘Vi badal raha hai... tayaar rahiye’, the company said on Tuesday.
The announcement has sparked interest in the larger brand transformation that Vi is set to roll out over the coming weeks.
Vi unveils new brand identity
Speaking about the new brand identity, Abhijit Kishore, CEO of Vi, said the move goes beyond a mere logo refresh and marks the beginning of the company's evolution.
“This is not simply a logo refresh, it is the first expression of the evolution we are bringing to the Vi Brand. It reflects our ambition for Vi and commitment to shaping what telecom can be – an experience that makes life more rewarding, and full of possibilities for our customers,” Kishore said.
He added that the transformation would become visible through a series of strategic launches, new campaigns and customer experiences in the coming weeks.
“Over the coming weeks, this evolution will come alive with strategic launches, new campaigns and a range of experiences that will shape how we engage with our customers. The new identity captures optimism—an optimism for everything that is possible today, more importantly for what we can bring to both our retail customers and enterprises in the future as a tech co,” he said.
Vi eyes future-ready positioning
Vi said it is positioning itself as a future-ready brand, driven by rapid network expansion, innovation-led offerings and its “Employee First, Customer Always, Experience is Everything” approach.
The company said improving business performance and growing consumer engagement have helped build renewed confidence as it continues to reinforce its position as a trusted telecom partner.
New identity rollout begins
The new Vi identity will be rolled out progressively across the company's consumer touchpoints, digital platforms, retail presence and communications.
The rollout began on September 1, with the company set to introduce further elements of its brand transformation through upcoming launches, campaigns and experiences.
