Sistema Shyam TeleServices announces senior leadership appointments
New Delhi, July 8 (IBNS): Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) that provides telecom services under the MTS brand on Wednesday announced two senior leadership appointments with Bijender Yadav being named the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Ashok Singh being appointed as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Kolkata and West Bengal circles.
According to Dmitry Shukov, CEO – MTS India, “I congratulate both Bijender and Ashok for assuming senior leadership roles within MTS India. These appointments come at a time when the Company is at the cusp of driving greater momentum in pursuit of its Data Centric Voice Enabled strategy. I am sure both these appointments will bring renewed energy and focus to the Company’s efforts in strengthening its telecom story in India.”
Bijender Yadav will be responsible for overall network strategy and operations for the company. Incidentally, Bijender Yadav had joined MTS India in 2009 and has ever since been a key figure in network planning and strategy for the Company.
He has risen through the ranks to being appointed as the Chief Technology Officer for MTS India. Bijender Yadav is a seasoned telecom professional with more than 20 years of experience specializing in telecom networks and green field operations. He takes over from Ashwani Khillan who had moved out in May 2015 to pursue opportunities outside MTS India.
Ashok Singh, a telecom industry veteran has more than 25 years of experience and has deep knowledge and understanding of Channel Sales, Marketing, Operations and General Management. His last assignment was with Tata TeleServices as Chief Operating Officer for Jharkhand circle. At MTS India, Ashok Singh will spearhead Company’s growth and expansion plans in the Kolkata and West Bengal circles.
