TajSATS named hospitality partner of Airbus A-380

Kolkata, May 29 (IBNS): Airline catering company, TajSATS on Thursday announced its exclusive inflight catering partnership with Singapore Airlines for the latter’s new Airbus A380 operations in India.

TajSATS noted that the guests flying to Mumbai and New Delhi will be now be able to enjoy a meal experience on-board the world’s largest aircraft.

Commenting on the tie-up, Ranjiv Ramanathan, Chief Operating Officer, TajSATS said, "TajSATS is proud to be the sole caterer for Singapore Airlines’ A380 services in India. This also makes us the first inflight catering service in the country to handle an A380."

Ramanathan said, "We are privileged to partner with Singapore Airlines to design and deliver a fresh and innovative onboard meal experience to guests on the world’s largest aircraft. We would like to congratulate Singapore Airlines for being the first to initiate A380 aircraft operations in India, and TajSATS is proud to be associated with this historic moment in Indian civil aviation."

According to the officials, Singapore Airlines will operate 14 flights per week to both Mumbai and New Delhi with an Airbus A380 aircraft that has a total capacity of 471 seats across suites, business class and economy class along with 20 crew members.

Passengers travelling on this route will now get a taste of the meals prepared by TajSATS.
