The Flea Market Brunch: Entrepreneurship combined with fun
Hosted by PR professional Supreeta Singh and Enigma, it was held at the Astor Hotel in Kolkata on Sunday in the presence of national-award winning actor (for ‘Abahoman’), Ananya Chatterjee and actor Sayani Datta of ‘Chorabali’ fame.
Explaining the idea, Singh said, “The Flea Market Brunch is the first of many exhibition where we will be featuring young entrepreneurs and start-ups to showcase their creativity.”
She also said that the idea is to create a platform where fresh talent can meet, share notes about their interest and sell their products.
“We are going to make it bigger and better each time. Expect more in the coming months,” said Singh.
From apparels to décors, hand-crafted lifestyle products to baked goodies, all were available here.
Visitors appreciated the lifestyle products by Suchi C, branded apparel from Ankita B Banerjee's Miss Chaos and Amanpreet's, fashion products by Parita Morarsi, and Elnora Lederwaren's leather products.
Sristi Nandhani's Store Untold and Komal Surana's Ziva were also crowd pullers.
Cupcakes from Urvashi Shivnanani's Sweet Surrender had many takers too.
No fair is complete without a tarot reader; the Flea Market had Pooja Banerjee.
Ananya Chatterjee was pleased with the products on sale at the pop up market while Sayani Datta liked the friendly environment.
Television artists Abhijit Bhattacharya, Anamika Chakraborty and Mishmee Das also attended the flea market
The Astor Hotel had laid out an extensive menu consisting of unlimited beer and kebabs at Rs 999. The principal sponsor for The Flea Market Brunch was Vishwakarma Properties.
