Twitter to open office in Dubai

New Delhi, Mar 19 (IBNS): Micro-blogging site Twitter, which has evolved to become a very popular platform among world leaders, celebrities and netizens, is planning to open its first office in Dubai.

"So excited RT @TwitterMENA: Twitter is coming to Dubai. announces plans to open @TwitterMENA's first office in the region at #ARABsmis, " Shailesh Rao, Twitter’s vice president for Asia-Pacific, Latin America and emerging markets announced.

Twitter has reportedly experienced phenomenal growth in the Middle East.

Some of the largest groups of Mena internet users are in the Arabian Gulf region – the UAE and Saudi Arabia in particular.
