Vodfone launches two all-women angel stores in Bangalore

Bengaluru, Mar 10 (IBNS): Vodafone India, one of India’s leading telecommunications service providers, in a unique step toward women empowerment, today launched two ‘Vodafone Angel Stores’, in Bengaluru.

Angel Stores are Vodafone retail outlets managed and run entirely by women employees.

This initiative is in line with Vodafone’s endeavor of encouraging diversity and inclusion at workplace by constantly improving and reinventing itself and offering its employees, the best in industry workplace conditions.

The two Vodafone Angel Stores at Banashankari and CMH Road in Bengaluru, were launched on the occasion of International Womens’ Day.

These Vodafone Angel Stores are the first-of-their kind in Bengaluru, with only women staff members, including security, pantry staff, customer service resources as well as management level personnel. The Vodafone Angel Stores will continue to provide the finest customer service that has remained a Vodafone tradition. 

Expressing pride at unveiling this first in the industry initiative from Vodafone for women employees in Bengaluru, Amit Kapur, Business Head – Karnataka, Vodafone India said ‘Vodafone believes that economic empowerment of women is a great building block in social development. The Angel store is Vodafone’s endeavour to provide our women employees with one of the most secure and productive working environments in the city.
