5.6 magnitude earthquake hits New Caledonia
Paris, Dec 10 (UNI) A magnitude 5.6 quake struck near New Caledonia, a French overseas territory in the Pacific on Tuesday, the United States Geological Survey said.
The temblor was registered 100 kilometers to the northeast of the town of Tadine at 8:40 GMT.
It was epicentered at the depth of 10 kilometers.
There have been no reports about casualties or damage caused by the quake.
