6 magnitude earthquake hits Andaman and Nicobar, no casualty
Port Blair, Jan 17 (IBNS): An earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter Scale hit Andaman and Nicobar Islands on Thursday, officials said.
The quake hit the island at 8:23 hours.
As per the India Meteorological Department website, the epicentre of the quake was lcoated at latitude 7.6 degrees north and longitude 94.5 degrees east.
It hit at a depth of 84 kms.
No casualty has been reported so far.
